A statement made in light

The Oldfield collection takes a different approach to cinema lighting. Rather than disappearing into the architecture, Oldfield commands it. Each pendant fixture — finished in warm gold at its tip — creates a distinct point of light that, when installed across a timber slat feature wall, generates an effect of extraordinary drama.

Installations have been described as a "wow wall" — a vertical composition of golden light that transforms the cinema environment before a single film begins.

Installed within vertical timber slat features, the Oldfield pendants appear to emerge from the wall at varying heights — each suspended on its own stem, each casting a warm downward cone of light against the natural timber.

The collective effect is that of a forest canopy seen from below, each pendant a leaf catching the last of an autumn sun. It is both composed and organic — and utterly unlike anything else in home cinema design.

In Situ

Transforming the entire room.

The Oldfield installation at this client's screening room demonstrates how the collection works beyond the feature wall. Complementary ceiling-mounted linear lighting, also from the Fleur de Lux range, creates a cohesive lighting environment that works both as ambient illumination during pre-show and as a dramatic statement in its own right.

The use of warm-white LED throughout ensures colour consistency across the entire room — a detail that matters enormously when the screen is the primary light source.
